Igbo Ngwo couple masks

In the north of the Igbo region, this type of mask appeared during traditional ceremonies. Topped with a headdress of a fine horns, it represents a face covered with harmoniously arranged circular and parallel scarifications. The fine features are concentrated in the lower part of the face.
Adornent: cotton fibers, animal teeth, red fabric.
